Online Safety
What we do in school for online safety
At Tymberwood Academy we take online safety seriously. It is not only covered in our Computing curriculum but also in PSHE as well as everyday life, particularly when we talk about behaviour. To complement our own curriculum each phase also has an annual talk from our local PCSOs to reinforce the messages that we give.
We support families and staff knowledge by sending out the National Online Safety #WakeUpWednesday online safety guides - copies of which can be found below.
We are also proactive as well as reactive when we hear about a new game or app that our children are starting to use as we try to ensure that families are given up to date information. To support with this - this academic year we have bought in to the NATIONAL ONLINE SAFETY group. If you are a parent or carer of the school - you can access your free parent/carer login via the dedicated link below. Alternatively, if you have lost the link then please contact the school office to get a new one sent to you.

Support for families about online safety
Each week we share the National Online Safety guides to platforms and safety issues that our children may use or face. If you click on the poster it will take you to the #WakeUpWednesday National Online Safety twitter post. You can access everything through their website as well:
