Holidays During Term Time
Taking holiday during term time has a detrimental effect on a child’s learning. It is our school policy not to authorise any days absence in term time unless there are very exceptional circumstances. Even in exceptional circumstances, leave will not be authorised in the months of September, May, June or July or if a child’s attendance is below 96.5%.
Any notice of holiday to be taken during term time must be sent using the below form, to the Head Teacher giving clear reasons for the ‘exceptional circumstances’ request. If a holiday is not authorised, the school may request the local authority to issue a penalty notice.
Please note: Penalty Notices are £120 (per parent, per child). This is reduced to £60 per parent, per child if paid within 28 days.
