KS2 SAT’s Results - 2015/16

 

There have been some significant changes to the way children are assessed at the end of Key Stage 2 with national testing being in line with the more challenging new national curriculum.  As a result the outcomes in 2015/16 are not comparable to previous years as the expectation in the tests is now much higher.  The percentage of children reaching the expected standard nationally is lower than in previous years due to this higher expectation.

The outcomes for the school in 2015/16 are shown below.  Please note that more information will be added to this page once it has been made available to the school.  Provisional national figures have also been shown so a comparison can be made.

 

73% of children achieved the expected standard or above in Reading, Writing and Maths (National figure = 53%)

14% of children achieving higher standard in Reading, Writing and Maths

 

80% of children achieved the expected standard or above in Reading (National figure = 66%)

23% of children achieving higher standard in Reading

 

91% of children achieved the expected standard or above in Writing (National figure = 74%)

20% of children achieving greater depth in Writing

98% of children achieved the expected standard or above in Maths (National figure = 70%)

32% achieving higher level in Maths

 

Pupils’ average score in the reading test=104

Pupils’ average score in the maths test= 109

 

Average progress that pupils have made in reading between KS1 and KS2 = 4.1

 

Average progress that pupils have made in writing between KS1 and KS2 =4.9

 

Average progress that pupils have made in maths between KS1 and KS2 =7.7
