Welcome to Tymberwood Academy.
It is our pleasure to welcome you to our vibrant, dynamic and fun school. Our desire for children is to aspire to be great ensuring our children are equipped with skills, both personal and academic, that will allow them sustained success in the wider world.
We aspire to develop a learning community where children have deep respect for themselves and those around them taking responsibility for their own behaviour, learning attitudes and achievement. Our whole school ethos is based on understanding and modelling the values that are essential to developing a cohesive learning environment. The information presented in this website is designed to give a flavour of what our special School has to offer:
We are so pleased that you are taking an active interest and encourage you to read further and to book a visit to come and see our vision in action!
"Together We Grow and Learn
The Leadership Team
Firstly, I wanted to take the opportunity to officially welcome you all back to the new term at Tymberwood and also thank you for the warmth you’ve shown on the playground at the beginning and end of the day.
The first two weeks of term have flown by and I’m thrilled to see how well the children have settled in and enjoying their learning in their new classes.
Thank you to all the parents that attended the ‘meet the teacher’ sessions. It was great to see so many of you. For those of you that weren’t able to make it, Mrs Kelly-Day and I introduced the meeting as we wanted to share our school key priorities:
Growth Mindset (Learning Behaviours)
These are the aspects that we, as a school, really want to improve upon and develop across the year. So, watch out for exciting events and check our parental calendar. Also, don’t forget to return your ‘homework questionnaire’ as soon as possible as we want to shape our enhanced policy around your views.
I have spent the majority of my teaching career over in Croydon schools and loved it! So, this is my first time working in Kent! I am a keen sportsman and can’t wait to see our children excel in extra curricula activities alongside achieving academic excellence.
If I haven’t managed to meet you (yet!), I look forward to speaking with you soon.
All the best,
Mr M Clark
